Peg Warming: The Story Of My Life

A peg warmer is an action figure that was over-ordered and is now hanging dusty in some discount aisle. Perhaps it's my sick mind, but I think the term is hinting at something sexual. I make no claims that these posts are interesting or even worthy of your time. Read at your own risk!

Mystery Toy

I was cleaning my room the other day and found this toy I bought from Hong Kong a couple years ago. Can you tell who is he? Well, he's famous in HK anyway ;-)

The Haircut

I've been going to the same barber for about a year and a half. I love this guy. He does a quality cut at an incredibly low price of $9.

I went in for a hair cut in early January and he told me that he would be taking the entire February off. I thought to myself, "there's no way I can last till March without getting a haircut!" I usually get them about every 3 to 4 weeks. Waiting more that 6 weeks for a haircut would not be very nice.

What I ended up doing was scheduling my next appointment on January 31-the day before he left. Granted that was only a 2 1/2 week gap between my hair cuts, but I thought it would be better than waiting the aforementioned 6 weeks.

So I go in on the 31st for my cut and ask him to do the same as last time. What he ends up cutting was way shorting that what I usually get. I look like a kid that was recently discharged from the army and is trying to grow his hair out!

I wear glasses all the time. When he's cutting my hair, I take them off. This is why I couldn't tell how short it was until it was too late.

I guess he didn't want me to suffer in the final weeks with unmanageable long hair. Instead he lets me suffer in the initial weeks with incredibly short hair.

Isn't he nice?!

Despite this unfortunate incident, he's a great barber. The best I've ever had. It doesn't hurt that I have a little crush on him either...but that's another story I'll save for a rainy day.
